There is a new face in the House, The Greens newest sitting MP David Clendon who is replacing Sue Bradford who resigned over a fortnight ago. You can view the video clip of his maiden speech here: http://inthehouse.co.nz/node/298
Members Day is finally upon us after being delayed for nearly a month with the Government going into urgency last month. Charles Chauvel's Credit Reforms (Responsible Lending) Bill looks like it has been handed over to his fellow Labour colleague Carol Beaumont, responsible for getting the numbers to get it passed.
The Greens have a big day in Parliament today with two members bills in their first readings: Customs and Excise (Sustainable Forestry) Amendment Bill (Catherine Delahunty) and Climate Change (Government Vehicle Procurement) Bill (Dr Russel Norman).
Next up on members day is debate on the review of the Emissions Trading Scheme and related matters. Jeanette Fitzsimons criticised the review process and its conclusions http://inthehouse.co.nz/node/366.
