Parliament is in urgency today so the debate continues on the Vehicle Confiscation and Seizure Bill (currently in its third reading and debate) throughout the morning. The debate went on until 10.00pm last night and inthehouse.co.nz has it all available for you to watch. There will still be Question Time today at 2.00pm.

The Government is currently trying to get its proposed changes to ACC to the first reading stage this week with the Maori Party indicating their support for the bill to go to select committee.

In Question Time yesterday, Hon Simon Power released some of the details regarding the 2011 Referendum on MMP. You can see the video here:

Also yesterday, we saw Opposition leader Phil Goff engage in a debate over the joint bid for the free-to-air television of the Rugby World Cup 2011.

The Education (Polytechnics) Amendment Bill is in select committee, open to the public from 9.00 -12.20pm and 3.30 - 6.00pm in Room 2, Bowen House. And the Student Loan Scheme (Exemption and Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment Bill is also in select committee from 12.20 -12.50pm.
