Kineta Knight started her media career 12 years ago in regional television. She has since worked as a freelance journalist at Radio New Zealand, Newstalk ZB, The Press, Herald on Sunday and Avenues magazine.

Kineta was awarded the Robert Bell Travelling Research Scholarship from the University of Canterbury in 2008 where she studied the digitalisation of radio in the UK: lessons for New Zealand, and has recently returned from London where she also worked as an online journalist for ITV, and freelanced for The Daily Telegraph, TVNZ and a London-based Kiwi magazine, New Zealand Inspired. She has a BA in English and Theatre & Film with post-grad studies in journalism.
